J Scott Socks

Introducing the first wave of J Scott Socks – where profits are split between supporting my vaulting career, and reinvestment into my design fund for more socks! These 8″ Crew Socks are “blacked out”, meaning NO MORE white sock showing through and distorting the design when they’re on your large, muscular calves! The sock is black under the design, resulting in black lines visible between the art – making this full-colored sock design shine no matter how large and in charge your calves are!

THERE IS A VERY LIMITED SUPPLY!!!

The design is credited to a friend of mine at Blue Collar Press in Lawrence, KS. It perfectly depicts my unique, colorful style as a competitor and will help you jump at least 2 feet higher, just by wearing them!*

*Statement is a mere opinion of yours truly and has not been proven by the FDA to cure or prevent any disease or increase vaulting performance.

A Little Bit About Me

Pole Vaulting is more of an identity for me than a passion – it’s way past that. It’s so far past that, in fact, that I stepped down from a full-time I.T. position last year at KU Athletics because I didn’t have enough time to train like a professional athlete and travel to many of the competitions that I need to compete in. Also, let me add that I could not have made it anywhere near this far in my career without the love, support, and sacrifices my wife and my family have made for me over the past 12 years. Giving up a full-time salary with unbelievable benefits is, well, ludicrous to most people… but my wife is the type of person you only meet once in a lifetime.

I LIVE for that feeling of flying over a crossbar. But as you could imagine, it’s not easy… Whether you’re trying to break a personal record, a world record, or trying to pay your bills as you pursue your dream of winning an Olympic Gold Medal, the road is definitely the less-traveled one. This is my 5th year out from under the amazing financial umbrella of college athletics at The University of Kansas. More times than I can count, I’ve heard coaches and athletes talk about “that period between being a college track & field athlete and becoming an ELITE athlete is one of the biggest struggles you can face in athletics.” I’ll be the first to tell you how accurate that statement is.

How I Got Here

I started pole vaulting as a freshman at Oconee County High School in Watkinsville, GA and was absolutely terrible (just ask my Mom, who was scared for my life the first 3 months, and possibly still…)! But I wasn’t as bad at vaulting as I was at every other event I tried that first year… which is inevitably why I was stuck with vaulting. It turned out to be a life-changing endeavor that would take me to countries I would’ve never visited, provide me with the opportunity to complete a Masters and Bachelors Degree in Sport Management, and introduce me to my beautiful wife – who was also a pole vaulter for KU. For those reasons, and many more, I have an unexplainable desire to reach the next level – compete in the Olympic Games. With your help, I will be able to turn my dreams into reality – I have no doubt.

F.A.Q.

When Will I Receive My Socks?!

Socks are currently in production and should be in my hands by the end of June. I will then ship them out to everyone who pre-ordered as soon as I can!

Is there another way to help you out, without buying these silly socks?

YES! Check out my AthleteBiz Store and my AthleteBiz Offerings Page! Also, sharing this page with your friends or on social media helps TREMENDOUSLY!!

What Is Your Refund Policy?

I’ll accept refunds if you are not completely satisfied. Socks must be returned in the same condition you received them and they must not smell like feet. Also, do not wash them before returning. Sound like a Catch-22? It’s not. Clean your feet before trying them on Sasquatch.

Just for fun…
